It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the record chasers, are what's still available for a team that has won it all.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batters to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Finally, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was captain Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to produce her latest masterpiece.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the championship match and was awarded tournament MVP. She made sure her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Many contend the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was considerably tougher to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she topped the run-scoring charts, but this knock came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in training, it has been a challenging time because it appeared I lacked timing at all," stated Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts activate and you completely engage with the match."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her key asset - and an invaluable trait in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, dismissed by the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the bowler's initial ball and after that Healy was on her way.

"A chance to go out there and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was dismissed the team required another 66 at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the assurance to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament should hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success succeeding win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.
